Swedish Buns made with Love

Each bun is handmade from start to finish, just as Swedish buns have traditionally been made — from measuring and kneading to twisting and baking. Linnea believes that feeling the dough by hand is an important part of creating truly delicious buns. Made by hand, made with love, and best enjoyed with a cup of coffee. Fika (Fee-Ka) Fika is the Swedish tradition of slowing down and taking a moment to enjoy coffee, something sweet, and good company. It’s more than just a coffee break — it’s about pausing, connecting, and enjoying the simple things.

Meet Linnea

Linnea was born and raised in Sweden and has called the UK home for the past 14 years. She lives with her four children and her British partner in the picturesque village of Horningsham, just outside Frome, Somerset. Swedish traditions are still a big part of family life, and one of Linnea’s favourites is Fika — the Swedish tradition of taking a moment to pause, gather with friends or family, and enjoy a good coffee and something sweet.

Linnea grew up watching her mother and grandmothers bake traditional Swedish cakes and pastries, and baking has always been a way of bringing people together. In 2020, she opened her little bakery in Horningsham, sharing her handmade Swedish buns with cafés and customers across the local area. For the past six years, you may have found her buns in several cafés around Somerset.

Today, Linnea is bringing the bakery back to its roots, selling her buns directly to customers through the weekly Friday Fika, and sharing the joy of Swedish baking through her hands-on workshops. Everything is made by Linnea, by hand and with lots of love — with a little taste of Sweden in every bun
